ACTION AND OUTREACH HIDDEN BATTLES will reach hundreds of thousands of viewers through international and national television broadcasts and theatrical screenings. In addition, we are launching an orchestrated grass roots action program in collaboration with strategic partners including Veterans for Peace, the National Veteran's Foundation, New Era Veterans and the Veteran's Education Project around the release of HIDDEN BATTLES to reach out to high schools, universities, community centers and churches to provide free screenings and trainings on the issues of reintegrating into civilian life after war. RECENT NEWS In May 2007 the HIDDEN BATTLES crew was invited to screen scenes from the HIDDEN BATTLES work-in-progress to the men and women of New Era Veterans, an extraordinary residence for formerly homeless soldiers from U.S. wars in Bronx, New York. We were overwhelmed by their response. They courageously shared their own stories of killing with us, and their candid insights and feedback created a new surge of energy and reconfirmed the need for us to push forward and finish the film now. Thousands of soldiers are returning home around the world and countless others are already living in isolation, afraid to share the reality of life after killing in war.
